actually, the current crisis has little to do directly with families

the demographic of migrants has changed notably, where there is now an abundance of unaccompanied minors rather than actual families

tough spot to be in from a humanitarian perspective...guess the US could just say fuck ‘em, and deport all those kids back to mexico and let them fend for themselves. i’d imagine the drug cartels and sex traffickers would love some fresh meat
