"There was no evidence in the email that payments were made, or that Hernandez had knowledge of the plan.....and a source told Schlabach that Hernandez did not agree to any sort of payment structure."
That anonymous source speaking to ESPN is entirely irrelevant.

UMiami stipulated that the player knew about the agent and the agreed upon payments. That's all that matters.

$5,500 is what the kid allegedly received.

1 whole season and 40% of another for $5,500. That's insane.

Everyone's just making shit up as they go, and by "everyone" I mean the NCAA.

Right. Where did 40% come from? Haven't heard that one yet.

Maybe De Sousa will get a nice round 56.8% of the season. He'll have to wait until the 4th TV timeout of his first game to enter.

Maybe he'll have to sit for the first 40% (or 16:00) of every postseason game we play, so that his total suspension time matches 40% of our season.

Jesus, him sitting for the first 2:00 of any OT could be fucking KILLER.

Signing with the agent was the kicker. Harsh. But gives me hope that SDS gets time served.
