No.

They'd have to do what the Republicans did with Nixon -- i.e. march up to the White House and tell him it's over. Thing is Trump is far less reasonable than Nixon.
And are we really prepared for President Pence?
What's he gonna do that we need to prepare for?

Of course Trump is not reasonable.

Yeah, but would Republicans have the backbone to tell him?

Sure. If it got to the point where it would hurt them.

Ben Sasse is exactly like Flake in that at least he will grandstand and talk a good game but crumble like a pile of ashes when it comes to actually doing something. Flake has acted on his outrage exactly once. Everyone is a combined 0-fer

Isn’t Sasse the guy who acts like a critic but has voted lock-step with Trump like 90 percent of the time?

I know, right? In this administration it's hard to decide on which liar is telling the truth.

90? Where do you get that? I can’t think of any instance where Sasse (or Corker, or any of the alleged “critics” for that matter) voting not in lock step, DC’s lulzing notwithstanding.

The only exception is the ACA repeal and Murkowski on the SC nomination.

(Mueller's thinking)? Mueller being crafty will not go after Don Jr. until Trump is gone. No more Donald Trump, no more pardons.

that's an interesting thought.

but, if it happened the other way around, and Trump started pardoning everyone around him left and right, how long would that endure?

No! Obviously you don’t get the broader point. No one is questioning the concept of conservatives not voting with liberals. This is exactly why the likes of Sasse and Flake are weasels. In fact I think people like Cornyn and Cotton are more honest, even if I disagree vehemently with their positions. At least they’re not outrage-peacocks like the aforementioned. Sasse and Flake are examples of how you can fool some of the people all of the time- into thinking they are reasonable.
