Just starting up. Roads immediately bad.

Slid off into the ditch on my way to work.

Thank the lord for locking differentials!

Toyota right?
Do they have lockers on both axles?
I thought they only lock the rear axle?

Yup just the rear.

After a little rocking back and forth I was able to crawl right out.

It's 800 degrees here today and tomorrow it's supposed to snow 43 feet.

right on. I drove a couple jeeps when I was looking a few years back. Like the way the manuals shifted, and the general novelty of them.

But I ultimately picked up the pickup. I think it's more practical and comfortable as a daily driver. Shrug.

And to keep things on topic: the day I picked up the pickup, it was pouring rain.

yeah, without blackmild or official threads, we just don't see that kind of caps lock around the boards very often any more.

it's either plano bragging about his JEEP!, or count ranting about the JE...never mind.

Man, all time great ski day today.

And downhill, no less!

But it also reminded me why I do so little downhill any more: have to drive around hunting for a parking spot, then 20 minute waits at the lifts.

Now I would get it on, say, the busy weekend between Christmas and New Years.

But on a Thursday in April?!

Anybody have a dog that's terrified of storms (thunder and lightning)? My 6 year old boxer is a nervous wreck when it storms. I have been giving him Xanax and he has a thunder shirt, but it seems to only help a bit. I took him to doggy day care this morning so he wouldn't freak out when the severe storms roll through later today. Anybody have any tips or experience?

and he has a thunder shirt

just gonna say that's adorable

we used to have a couple labs that would always jump the fence during storms...they never went anywhere but to the front door, but other than bring them inside there was nothing we could do

i'd say generally you might try to do something fun, or that the pup enjoys, when it storms. if it's got a favorite toy, pull it out when it storms. if it gets crazy excited over new toys, try to give it a new toy when it storms. could serve to both distract and create a positive association. just a thought...

We have a Jack Russell. She freaks out at storms. I put a blanket over her crate and she hangs out in there.
