I only saw the last 20 minutes but Peru had multiple chances.
There was a rocket off the crossbar and a dangerous ball in the scrum that was just cleared.
I understand US was pulling back and defending but the counter was non existent.

MLS Playoffs start tomorrow. Excited SKC has the top seed in west. To score a goal to win in the second down a man was impressive.

Western Conference. Eastern Conference
1. Sporting 1. Red Bulls
2. Seattle 2. ATL
3. LAFC 3. NYFC
4. FC Dallas 4. DC
5. Portland 5. Columbus
6. RSL 6. Philly

Semis..

Portland/SKC
NYRB/ATL

SKC should advance and probably play ATL at their place because both RB and ATL has higher records than SKC.

It's the finals of the Western Conference but not the finals of the MLS.
NY RedBulls and Atlanta both had better records than the Wizards.

US Soccer agreed with me...formal announcement tommorow.

KC Wizards v Portland in Kansas City tonight.
Tied 0-0.
KC has to win to move on - a tie would put Portland through.

8:30/9:30 ET ESPN.

Stupid. And to make the better team go on the road first. Doesn't make much sense. Dumb format, dumb tiebreakers. Sporting was the better team last night over 105 minutes. Just those stupid goals did them in.

But the thing is, I don't know how else they should do it? Regular season record? Head to head in regular season? I honestly don't know.

The away goal rule gives the worst team the better chance to advance. And that just should not be the case. Sporting was screwed the moment they didn't score a goal in Portland. I still thought they would win last night 2-0, and once they didn't score that second goal in the first half, I knew it was going to be trouble.
