Dude had 21 and 10 against the Bucks back in December, was playing in the G-League a week ago, then started and played 40 minutes last night.
Goes to show you what a fine line it is between being a solid contributor in the NBA to not playing in the NBA.
He's shooting 42.9% 3pt.

You mentioned JV last night. This was from a day or two ago....

"His energy, we needed it. I felt it out there on the floor. I thought he had a great pace about him whether it was going after a rebound, whether it was shooting the open three, whether it was trying to defend with physicality," Vaughn said in the post-game interview after the Dallas game. "“He checked all those boxes. He's a guy that has worked his entire life to get to this position. He's been counted out, a four-year guy that has really paid his dues, and he continues to pay his due".”

good for JWil
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Says as much about the current Nets roster as anything.

Starting lineup:
Jalen Wilson
Mikal Bridges
Nic Claxton
Ben Simmons
Cam Thomas

Bench:
Trendon Watford
Noah Clowney
Dennis Smith Jr.
Keon Johnson

That should not be an NBA roster. That's just sad for an organization that started last season with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Yet are just one spot out of the playoffs.
( it helps that basically everyone gets in the playoffs now )

Fwiw, I do not think Jalen is plugged in as a regular starter now, but I could be wrong. I was thinking his starting and minutes probably had something to do with injuries/illness and/or players getting moved at the trade deadline.

As far as "shouldn't be an NBA lineup"....i disagree. It's an NBA lineup, just not a very good one.

Cam Thomas has emerged this year. Mikal Bridges is very underrated. And Nic Claxton is a decent big.

Who knows what Ben Simmons is at this point, but in the past, despite his offensive struggles scoring, he's been impactful.

This is accurate. Cam Johnson has been out

The nets aren't the best team but all those dudes are legit nba players

Mikal bridges - one of the best 2 way players in the league. Perfect modern forward, suns have missed him

Claxton - a good big, especially defensively. He's been a pest for embiid even

Cam Thomas - really talented young scoring guard. Durant himself has talking him up recently

Cam Johnson - who wilson is filling in for - decent versatile forward

Simmons - ok here's your problem. Simmons missed a ton of time once again . He's a clown. Talented fragile headcase

Nets are 11th in the east. 2 games back from being in the play in

So "shouldn't be an NBA lineup" is just wrong.

Mikal Bridges would start for almost every team in the NBA.

Yes. Rumor has it he's considering signing with Minnesota

I know for people not paying attention to the nba this season that sounds dumb... but Minnesota is actually 1st in the west right now

1st in the west and almost feels like they have no chance to make the NBA finals. Not sure how they get past Denver, Clippers, or Suns.
