I’m setting up for Halloween party right now.
The vegan chili is done and now I’m starting on the meaty one.
The dance floor has been cleared of furniture. The cats are chasing the lights around the walls and ceiling.

We're having a Halloween party tonight - doing pulled chicken ( smoker having trouble keeping temp ).
Weather outside is shitty - 30-40 mph winds and a steady rain for the next 12 hours.
Are you guys gonna even show up?

Traegar smoker? If you didn’t know about this already, you might try it. It’s not in earlier manuals. Not sure about later manuals.

Happy Halloween!

man now I’m hungry for some bbq. Chili too.

I also wish I had a smoker that holds a good temp when it’s cold.

Try getting your vents into the wind. Or shield it. Good luck.

My neighbors had 2 smokers going on today, starting about 9 am. All the smoke went my way (kidded with my neighbor to keep the smoke on his side of the fence). Fortunately they invited me over...dang good. Briskets, chicken, and ribs. Now off to a Halloween party. Got my Elvis jumpsuit going...King of rock n roll baby.

Walking to Walgreen's this morning. Saw a blonde walking out of an apartment building.
Leather pants, red heels/shoes, low cut tight black shirt, frizzy blonde hair. Looked just like Sandy from Grease. No clue if it was a costume or not but she was smoking hot.
More HOT women should wear tight leather pants, low cut tight shirts, and red heels.

I'm a pathetic bitter old man today. Not a costume but if it was, I've nailed it.

Also what’s your favorite halloween/scary movie?

I watched Dracula Dead And Loving It last night, classic.

I love the horror films from the 30s and 40s. The Wolfman may be my favorite.

10 people showed, we expected double that.
The rain and wind and cold just pelted my smoker - I couldnt keep the top vent open at all b/c the rain would leak onto the meat.
Chicken was stalling at 150.

I should have tried to set up a tarp to cover it but was exhausted from the 18 inning Red Sox game night prior.

I ended up giving up after three hours and moving it indoors, wrapped in foil, on 220 in the oven.

Still turned out delicious - have a lot of leftover chicken.
