The remake of IT had some pretty good moments. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

the only remake that i could think of that is close to on par with the original was Evil Dead

and even then, going full-on horror instead of having Bruce Campbell's comedy was a let-down for me

The original IT wasn't a great film to begin with, so it wasn't too difficult to top. That clown seemed scary when I was a child, but looks like a joke now.

The Ten Commandments.

Who will be watching on Saturday?
I never miss it, but I rarely make it all the way to the end.

After Yul Brynner is done, it loses its appeal.

I usually do the Vigil so I can sleep in and avoid the E&C Catholics, who convert the Holy Day into a fashion show. Plus, every Church goer should do it at least once.

It’s also cool to see how the RCIA folks are moved.

With recent church history, I can't walk into a Catholic church anymore.

I did enjoy Easter Vigil as well as Holy Thursday mass.

It's the other way around for me. I don't think I have ever seen the beginning, although I usually don't miss it either. For some reason, I always begin watching when Moses is discovered that he's not the Pharoah's real son :)

IT chapter 2 was good.
I actually liked it almost as much as the first.
Spoiler:

There needed to be more psychological terror and human sized clown and less giant spider clown.

I agree it was pretty good. I love how King kept making fun of himself throughout the film.

I think the whole spider thing was stupid, but they did a better job with it in the remake.

Going to see Joker in a couple of hours.

Disappointing movie. Not sure what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting it to be disappointing.
I'm still glad I went to see it.

I agree, it was a "freaking good" movie. I didn't think it was great movie.
As I said before, not sure what I was expecting but I must have been expecting something because I walked out disappointed.
I am open to you and/or anyone else elaborating on your feelings regarding Joker.

First off, and I said this after watching "You Were Never Really Here", Phoenix is a master of acting without dialogue.

This was one of the best movies I have seen in a while.

Barbarian is good.
Watch without reading anything about it like I did.

Watched Saint Maud without reading anything about it.
Wasn't scary but the characters were strong.

not necessarily scary (more humorous), but the Babysitter is pretty entertaining

there’s also now a sequel, too
