No one is excusing it. We are laughing at the hypocrisy of Trump supporters being bothered by it. Both are dumb. But one is being called horrible while the other is being cheered. See the problem?
"No one is excusing it"

You may not be personally, but plenty are.

And I'm not a trump supporter, so I'm not being hypocritical....but this guy on SNL wasn't talking about trump, he was talking about a veteran and making fun of his injury. See the problem?
I was speaking specifically about the three posts in this thread referencing Trump, not about the entire planet. I didnt think that my comment was hard to understand but it seems I need to spell out the parameters of the words "no one" when I use it.

Thanks to your confusion and DC's trolling, er.... feedback, I am now more aware that some folks need things more clearly spelled out for them.

One is President. The other is an actor/comedian. Do you not get the difference in standards we should hold them too?
Pete Davidson's father was a firefighter who died in 9/11.

I wonder how funny he would find jokes about firefighters burning to death or being crushed by collapsing buildings.

Or whatever. Whatever.

People outraged by this don't seem to think Trump should be fired for doing worse. Get it?
I agree.

It still doesn't excuse this.

No. It doesn't excuse it. In fact, it explains, in part, why people excuse Trump.

Of course, the good news is that we now know what's behind Crenshaw's eye patch.

I think it was classy that Crenshaw defended him a little bit and said it'd be good for our country to stop being overly offended everytime someone mispeaks or says the wrong thing...

1 of the SNL cast mates disagreed and said Davidson missed the mark fishing for a joke.

People who don't want to deadlift with hexagonal fucking plates do.

No one like hexagonal plates. (Actually I think they have 12 sides so they'd be dodecagonal plates, but the point is NO ONE likes plates with flat sides, get some fucking round plates)

Let' see, the Commander in Chief:

-Told the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson he "knew what he signed up for" and forgot the soldier's name.

-on John McCain: He's not a war hero," he said at an Iowa summit in July 2015.
"He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."

-Called McCain: "yet another all talk, no action politician" who has "done very little for veterans."

-In response to the Khan gold star family explained that: He contended that he, too, had made sacrifices because he "created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures."

-Said about a vet who offered him a Purple Heart, "I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier," he said.

-Stated about sleeping around with women in during an era of STDs in the 1970s, "It is a dangerous world out there — it's scary, like Vietnam," he said in a 2004 clip dug up by BuzzFeed News.
"It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier."

Tell us again what a COMEDIAN said.

Hey Seahawk, what are you doing? Providing a roadmap on how Pete Davidson can get the Republican nomination for President? If yes, please add "committing sexual assault and admitting it on tape" and "support White Supremacists and Neo-Nazis" to the list.

The scope and breadth of your appreciation of comedy is less than impressive.
