And I think Dedric will figure things out but I thought he'd blow up vs. a team like Vermont.
He was getting blocked by guys half a foot shorter than he is.

He gets blocked a lot so far. Maybe like 6 or 7 blocked shots on him already this year?

Should have individual stats, team stats and box scores on the front page here in a bit.

Can't measure effort ( unless you're bruce weber ) but:

2 PTS, 6 REB, 1 BLK, 1-4 FG
.213 Crimscore

Hmm. Might need to start some kind of qualitative rating system to combat this. Dotson doesn't get enough credit for his D when you just look at stats.

Yes, Crimscore only measures defense in terms of steals, blocks, rebounds but isn't as advanced as some other defensive metrics which measure the shooting % of the opponent you are guarding. I don't have access to that data.

But even that system is a bit flawed.

Dotson still finished 2nd on the team last night which is where I would have ranked him qualitatively.

And a .404 on the season is still very good for a freshman.
It's early but that's higher than Frank Mason's, Devonte Graham's, Wayne Selden and Kelly Oubre's score and almost as good as 1st year Tyshawn Taylor.

1st year Tyshawn! That's CnB bait right there.

thanks for putting together crimscores, the metric is cool.

Slowly trying to get what I had on DOTNET ( Nethub ) into new code that's easier to update and be on the index page.
I have individual stats WITH CRIMSCORE!!! ( that need some more formatting ) now on the front page.
I'll be cleaning that up and adding team stats this weekend and then box scores for each game.

Then after that an easy way to post little articles on the front page.

As I post these things on the front page ( stats, schedule, articles ) feel free to tell me if you are having issues on your device or would want it displayed differently.

For smaller mobile phones, for instance, I just opted to hide some of the less important stats because they won't fit horizontally.
