Jimmy is a clever guy!
You have a problem with that (Ellison being elected)?
I do but who the fuck am I - and do I know for a fact he's guilty of what he is being accused of?
I asked because I find the irony in some/many/most/KU fans not having a problem with Lag Vick playing on the team.

HouseDivided told us that the GOP would not be losing the House so this is obviously Fake News.

so how many investigations is this House gonna open up on potus?

will they pursue outstanding issues with the same tenacity that, say, republicans pursued Dowdy's emails? More?

If potus has to testify before congress, will he be able to tell the truth?

I'm sure they will be tenacious and vicious for every last second of the next two years, and in the end, it will have about the same effect that the impeachment proceedings had on Slick Willie. Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

ask potus about real estate dealings, then when he's least expecting it, slip in a question about grabbing her by the pussy.

My question is.... how crazy are the redistructing efforts of the GOP going to be now?

In 2008, my NE District 2 went for Obama. In 2011, it was redistricted by moving the immigrant heavy south suburb of Bellevue out of the District and moving in lily white Sarpy County to offset the more democrat laden Douglas County.

I predict that there is going to be a major last gasp effort of old white dudes to cheat their way back into ownership of the House.

I don't think there is any question that Trump is vulnerable with respect to his tax records and related matters. The best part of it is that Maxine Waters will chair the Financial Services Committee that has jurisdiction.

Good times.

Hell, Trump is vulnerable with respect to the most fundamentally basic effort to tell the fucking truth, not to mention tax records, business affairs, Russian meddling, sexual harassment and misconduct, among others.

Russian meddling, sexual harassment and misconduct

Not gonna matter, though.

It will be ugly, stupid, petty, and partisan. It will also accomplish nothing. Welcome to American politics.

Yes, I do have issues with the blatant gerrymandering that is happening all over the nation. Is there some innocuous reason why the changes to my District were made?

Breakdown of votes for 2018 NE District 2 House seat:

Dem won Douglas County 50.9% to 49.1% but lost Sarpy County 63% to 37%.

Bellevue is basically South Omaha and has a large hispanic population. So after Obama won District 2 in the 2008 Presidential election, they stripped Bellevue away from Douglas County and their large urban population and glued it onto District 1 and their big collection of rural counties and replaced it with lily white Sarpy County so that no House Districts in Nebraska would go Dem again.

This isn't speculation or some weird theory. It happened and it is clear why.

Gerrymandering is A. 90% an excuse used by people who don't understand demographics; and 10% American historical tradition.

I'm fine handing all redistricting decisions over to non-partisan panels, but to insist that the House composition as a whole is affected to any significant degree by redistricting is to broadcast your ignorance.

And as the American voters proved (again!) last night, Obama's vote totals are non-transferable. Is it possible to have negative coattails?
