Might be back on Kansas bench soon?
Nah. Tulsa proved he can coach at the D-1 level.

Power 5 might be too much for him, but that Wake job is not an easy one.
Since 80-81 every coach at Tulsa not named Pooh Williamson proved they can coach at the D-1 level.
They have had some great ones.
Nolan 119-37
Barnett 106-75
Tuby 79-43
Steve Robinson 46-18
Bill 74-27
Buzz 26-11
Phillips 61-42 (Although, he did have 2 piss poor seasons)
Wojcik 140-92
D. Manning 38-29
Haith 77-52 going in to this season and I believe he's 11-6 this season.

I agree 100% that Wake is not an easy job at all. Although, Odom and Prosser were successful.
I felt Tulsa was a great spot for Danny but when you can coach in the ACC I suppose you take that gig over Tulsa.
How many old friends/family does DMan have in NC? I thought that also might have played a role. I think he could have held out for a not as tough as gig.

And yes, I have no reservations about saying both Prosser and Odom were better coaches than DMan.

4th, 9th, 2nd, 7th, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 4th, 5th, 2nd, 6th........that's a decent stretch for Baylor imo.
3 times in 11 years they have finished in the Top 3, and you think that's decent for them. Which it may be, but it also drives home the initial point that more often than not Scott Drew is a non-player in the Big 12 race. Making him an odd guy to dislike as much as you do.

I don't dislike him because he's a threat to Kansas. I dislike him because he's fucking weird and annoying.

He's no Dave Bliss. So, he's got that going for him.

It's amazing how many people will rush to the defense of Scott Drew because I said I dislike him. I remember how many of the same people made fun of him in the past, and voiced their dislike for him. Strange how that works!

Meanwhile, they're ahead of TT in the standings...further proving it's unnecessary to cheer against teams in January when you don't even know which team you should actually be cheering for.

You should be cheering for all teams to be as close to .500 as possible at all stages of the season.
If a team is 4-1 and another team is 1-4 you want the team that is 1-4 to beat the team that is 4-1.
It's very simple.

And this especially applies if the 4-1 team has a win vs Kansas.

I will never defend Baylor, or Scott Drew.

If Baylor hadn't beaten Iowa State and Texas Tech they would both be 5-2 and tied a top the standings so while I wouldn't 'defend' Baylor or 'Scott Drew' I will cheer for them in the most mild of senses when it affects the B12 standings positively for our chances.

I don’t cheer for Baylor or Scott Drew. But if you don’t recognize that he led the biggest turnaround in NCAA history (with no debate), then you don’t follow college hoops or you are a nineteendo.

From murder, extortion, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, improper benefits, drug dealing all the way to 4 Sweet Sixteens, 2 Elite 8s, and the 2nd best average finish in the Big 12. I give credit where do. And not going to be asinine and compare to someone like Coach Self. But he’s brought similar pros.

Credit where credit is due, but I can't look past the negative recruiting he's used against Self. Shady commitment really chapped his ass.

True statement. I also know straight from one of his assistants that he turned Selby in to NCAA. So yeah, fuck him for both. But still doesn’t change what he is to Baylor.

Wow. Didn't know that.

Regardless of my dislike for him, he's been a savior for baylor.
