Why would he do jail time for just trying to set it up?

I believe from what I've seen that there are elements of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud involved here.

It isn't enough, though. I'm done with "thoughts and prayers" in the wake of such tragedy.

I don't know why schools don't work on ways to prevent guns from being brought in. (works on airplanes)
I guess that solution is too pragmatic.

i don't know why it's so difficult to pass reasonable firearms legislation

i guess that solution is too logical

1. Congress is more concerned with impeachment as long as Trump is President.
2. Congress will never come up with a solution that is practical to stop school shootings.

1. This has been a problem long before Trump was president.*
2. Any meaningful attempt to propose a solution has been quickly shot down, no pun intended, by the 2nd amendment crowd

*And regarding impeachment, hasn’t it been the Speaker of the House perhaps more than anyone else who has pumped the brakes on impeachment talk?

I shouldn’t even bother.

My best guess is.....too expensive. School districts cannot afford metal detectors in every school.

Metal detectors. locked down campuses. Video cameras at the main entrance. Very expensive.

Dolo at least makes the general point that, in the context of airports, taking security initiatives resulted in increased security.

But that all depends on the powers that be being willing to do something about it.

Dolomite, what’s your opinion of the NRA?

It's not up to the nra. It's on the folks. If the folks want change. We can make change. All we need to do is vote out those not in favor of change. Vote in those ready to make change.

It's up to the folks to make change.
