And people were getting ready to throw him under the bus the other day.

Last spring I said on DotNet, I was looking forward to Senior Vick playing in his natural #3 spot and some posters disagreed with my positive outlook at the time.

Your negative Nancy attitude is duly noted...but I accept your congrats even if it's hollow AF.

Yep. Just shows what difference it can make by putting someone in the position they are design for.

5 things we learned from a loaded college basketball Saturday
Lagerald Vick is one of the biggest shot-makers in the game

Look at the box score of Kansas' three-point win over Villanova, and you'll come away impressed by Vick. He went 9-for-15 from the floor and scored 29 points. The Jayhawks wouldn't have won without him. But the manner in which he scored his 29 points was even more impressive than the total itself.

Vick makes some tough shots. Hand in the face, off balance, it doesn't matter. Vick was a good shooter last year, but he's flat-out nuclear in 2018-19. He's now shooting 53.3 percent from 3 on a whooping 6.7 attempts per game.

Villanova was playing plenty of attention to Vick, but it didn't matter. There might not be another college basketball player you'd trust to take a 3 in crunch time more than him.

So happy for him to be getting some recognition. He's had a bumpy path to this point, but I'm glad Self gave him another chance.

And if you exclude the 3 games where Vick was flaked out, his three point success is an even more ridiculous 31-51 (60.78%). When he is dialed in and participating, he is putting up legendary numbers. Pretty awesome to watch.

Yup.
Continue this pace, get on the 1st team All B12, and get yourself another Final Four and sneak into the draft.
That would be fantastic.

He deserved it tonight.
He was off in every regard.

But when he’s not on we have no one to replace his offense:

Charlie Moore or Garrett ain’t going to make up for that loss.

The inconsistency is just disappointing, as much as it was predictable.

Hoping it doesn’t end up a very forgettable KU stint.

Didn’t he get pulled right after he stood there waiting for a long rebound while the ISU guy ran up and grabbed it instead?

Believe they hit a 3 on the other end of that play. Awful sequence for KU

Didn’t watch the game but it sounds like Vick is reverting back to previous Big 12 season play Vick.
Was at the OU game on Monday and he fired up an AWFUL shot with under four left and Self pulled him and sat him for the rest of the game.
Vick is gonna Vick.
