GOBBLE GOBBLE!!
Re: GOBBLE GOBBLE!!
Prime rib is one of those funny things
It’s supposed to be so good, and some people insist upon it over turkey or other meat
but then smother it in horseradish, just in case

1) Our in-town Thanksgiving is usually a 4pm meal so we can do a late breakfast and keep it to a 2 meal day.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 8:36 am Ousy - "sup" back at ya
5 quick and painless Turkey Day Questions.
1) Seems to me most gentiles eat their meal mid day and not at dinner time. True or false?
2) What is your favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving?
3) Approx how many people will be at your meal?
4) Have you ever been to Plymouth Rock?
5) If you were forced to keep a live turkey as a pet, what would you name it?
2) Depends on who is cooking, my mother-in-law or my Mom. The in-laws Thanksgiving is the same food every year and none of it is anything awesome. The stuffing is decent and the cranberry relish stuff is pretty good. Those are the only two of her things that I would eat leftovers of.
3) We had 10 adults and 2 kids this year.
4) Nope.
5) Jive

It's not right to say that I don't like prime rib. I just like almost all other beef at that price point, better than prime rib.

For me, it’s that the good bites seem inevitably offset with the chewy gristly bites you have to navigate around, not to mention random bites that might just taste funky…cuz…beef?
That, and I mean what isn’t delicious once drowned in au jus and topped with horseradish.

Prime rib does a great job soaking up booze, though.
And damn right it's better than turkey.
Celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday with ribeyes, as god intended.

I loke the fatty gristley bits. To me they're the best part.
My friend Old Tom used to own a catering company and would cook PRs all the time. His favorite food in the world was the super salty fat cap between two slices of bread. Fat cap sammiches.
RIP Tom, I miss you buddy.
