We're honestly so lucky to have Les Miles. We had to hire kind of a boob of an AD to get him. Paid millions for a friendship, but hey, it might work out unless the AD successfully runs Bill Self out of town.

We could only get a coach with warts, and Les has them, but he's perhaps the only candidate that actually has the knowledge to build a program.

The perfect hire would have been Matt Rhule, but there's not a chance in hell we're getting a guy like that. The job is a career killer, so our best bet is an old guy that other schools don't want to touch. Thank god he appears to still have a little left and he won the lottery by finding Dearmon.

OU did everything wrong. kstate did everything right. Happens.

But as CnB alluded too, situations are completely different. Completely. Klieman wouldn’t have worked here.

KU is fortunate to have Miles here. Miles helped jumpstart oSu. He is here to jumpstart the program. And also, Dearmon doesn’t come here unless Miles is here. And here we are, he could be the HCIW if he keeps it going.
