Yikes with those 5/12's.
( rematch with Marquette or upstart Murray State )
Both come with superstar scorers.

Think Tech is firm on that 3 line.

Think the only chance KU gets a 3 is if they win Big 12 Tournament and then have either Michigan or Purdue lose today.

KU hoping to pull up to a #3 seed by winning the Big 12 tourney. Contenders for the #3 seed in action today. All times central:

UConn vs. HOUSTON: 10am
Florida vs. LSU: 11am
Nebraska vs. WISCONSIN: 12:55pm
FLORIDA STATE vs. Virginia: 5pm
Minnesota vs. PURDUE: 5pm
Iowa State vs. KANSAS STATE: 5pm
West Virginia vs. KANSAS: 7pm

Houston, Purdue, Texas Tech and LSU currently projected as #3 seeds on bracketmatrix.com. We needed to beat Tech tonight to have a chance to jump them but I'd still rather have WVU tonight than TT.

disagree

win the big12 tourney and we’ve got a 3, regardless of anyone else

If Purdue and LSU don't win their tournaments and we do, I think we have a good shot considering our strength of schedule.

Definitely a 3 if we win the Big 12 tournament

I hope we win it and get to find out. I dont want a season with double digit losses.

Yeah they are probably the team that would be bumped if KU won the Big 12..

But they won Big 10 that has high seeds like Michigan, Michigan St and some other good teams like Wisconsin, Maryland.

No bad losses outside of Notre Dame, Minnesota and Texas (Is that a bad loss??)

Close losses to good teams like VaTech, Florida St.

They're a borderline 3/4 seed.

I don’t get what we’ve done wrong since Feb. 9 that would bump us off the 3-line.

And straight embarrassed at Tech.

Ya, I remember, but losses haven’t had a huge effect on seeds in the past. Especially against tourney teams on the road, and a team we’ve already beat.

Unless the committee goes all in on NET, and I don’t think they will. Our resume is good, and they knew on Feb. 9 that we’d be without Udoka.

Bear in mind: I think our resume is better than we are and tech is better than their resume.

Valid point.

As I mentioned a few days back. Since the original seeding came out, KU has gone like 7-2 or something, with both losses on the road. Could be a lot worse off.

I do wonder if KU being 4-0 on neutral floors to this point matters at all. Granted, some of those with Dok, but this team struggles in visiting arenas only, not at home or on a neutral floor. That might matter some as well.

Well, true. But OU isnt a tourney team

10 seed in the tournament right now according to multiple bracket people.

OU is in. Don't necessarily know why, but I think they're in.

Even as after losing to WVU in the first rd on the b12 tourney? If that's true it's the softest bubble ever.

Extremely soft bubble.

KU is now the top 4 seed according to Palm. Purdue and Florida State the 2 teams directly in front of them as a 3 seed.

If KU gets that 3 seed, they're headed to Tulsa.
