Me too. But, if it were me, I wouldn't have bothered entering the draft at all.

I certainly don't think he's got much to loose by coming back. Showcasing himself as the leader of the team and another year as the, likely significantly improved, PG at a high profile school will only help his stock.

Most mock drafts, experts, etc are pretty close. Very rarely do you see a huge variance between a mock and how it actually plays out. Just about everything I have read has Dot as a fringe second round guy. This would be way different if he was high to a mid second but I haven't seen anything that says that. Unless the information his family is getting is completely different than everyone else this is one of those times that coming back for another year would be the right decision.
It sounds like Dot's family is well grounded and has approached this with the right mindset. I really, I mean really wonder what Grimes family is thinking...

Eh, the mocks are pretty damn fluid around this time for the 2nd round prospects.

You're going to hear a lot of different things about guys ranked 30-70. The last mocks are usually decent because they're operating on what the players' families and the teams are leaking.

So far, we've heard scouts say Dotson is 30-45 and we've also seen him in the 70's.

Mocks are pretty good about 1-20 and not as accurate after that.

Also, mock drafts, like recruiting sites, are evaluated based on their final predictions which probably come out the day of the draft, which is almost a month away.

That's why I think it's too risky. He might get drafted, but it will be a longer uphill battle with less money. He has a lot more to gain by coming back one more year. I would say he's more ready than Grimes, but both would benefit from another year, no question.

I still don't see him in the top 60 picks this season...high 60's - low 70's. I think Bone from UT will grab the last PG spot...Dot will be back

Crazy that he is on the fence. A low pick has a high bar to clear just for playing time. Same reason going to Australia is probably pretty silly. If you don’t impress and aren’t continually improving your game you are done.

Odd. KU sports has said Dotson is coming back and has said nothing about Grimes. Sports Illustrated said QGs withdrew and is coming back.

Here is SI's info:
8:35 p.m.
Quentin Grimes will withdraw his name from the NBA draft and return to Kansas for his sophomore season, Evan Daniels of 247Sports first reported. He averaged 8.4 points and started in all 36 games for the Jayhawks as a freshman.

Joining Grimes will be his backcourt running mate, Devon Dotson. The 6'2" guard announced his decision to withdraw from the draft and return to Kansas via Twitter. Like Grimes, he started all 36 games last season and put up 12.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
