I generally don’t like “filled” donuts - whether whipped cream, Bavarian cream, horsey sauce, whatever

Careful...you're gonna cause a handful on Nancies who love that guy to melt down.

Nah, what am I saying, Scott Drew sucks. Enough of those nancies and their woke-cancel culture. amirite?

I don't think anyone has had a meltdown about scott drew. Some of us are just more comfortable hating him while also acknowledging he's done a good job as the coach of Baylor.

You know what’s a thing that would work,* would be a donut shop where you select from some number of “bases” (type of dough; shape; filled vs non-filled), and then select from options within categories like frostings, toppings, fillings and so on. Ideally you’d even automate this (which would open up all sorts of kiosk or special locations). In doing this, you’d (1) make it an interactive experience for a customer, (2) enable easy custom orders (say, a few dozen in your kids’ sports teams’ colorway?) and (3) cut way back on spoilage/waste (because you’re not finishing donuts on spec).

* I’d think the hard part would be sourcing/formulating quick-dry frosting. But those ice cream toppings that shell up instantly have been around for 30 years; surely the greatest scientific minds available** can figure this out.
