The NFL games on Sunday got me thinking in terms of manner and impact.

1. Syracuse, 2003
2. Missouri football, 2007
3. VCU, 2011
4. UNI, 2010
5. Michigan, 2013
6. Villanova, 2016
7. Maryland, 2002
8. Kentucky, 2012
9. Oregon, 2017
10. Villanova, 2018

Rhode Island and UTEP come to mind.

I need an UA97. My first fully invested student year dream came crashing down.

Gah, how did I miss that. UA97 is easily top 5.

Texas 2011 just because I made the trip down for that one.

We talking about sad drives home, I have more than the list to provide. With Wichita State southbound I35 taking the cake.

97 against Zona (cried, cried and then cried some more. JV and Langford are tied for my favorite KU players of all time)
Cuse in 03
Mizzou 07 (that is amplified because I was at the game)

I remember watching that game and it felt like someone came to my house xmas morning and said Santa is not real and you get no presents.

I drove down to OKC with a buddy whom was a Kansas State student to watch both KU/UNI and KSU/BYU. Sitting through that second game was the worst sports related activity I've done, I believe.

That one was a couple of years before my time. Geezer probably remembers though.

2011 VCU still hurts the most for me. A fucking 11 seed mid major in the elite 8?! That loss was so bad that Shaka’s career is still riding the momentum. And man, face ass sucked so bad.

Next up I’ll say Oregon 17, cuz in kc, and cuz I wanted Frank to get to the promised land perhaps more than any individual player

Hardest I ever took a loss. Coming the year after the UNI loss (which was 2010 btw). I thought about how angry I was two years in a row, and re-evaluated my relationship with sports. Didn't watch any sports again until college football in the fall. Never have let a game bother me so much since.

Also, judging by how bad some of you melted down in the game thread, I’m surprised no one mentioned last night...

Thanks, years are starting to run together.

I also did re-evaluations after the UMich loss and Oregon loss. Started to feel like Final Fours are the right of a program like Kansas. Too spoiled, but those losses still piss me off, so perhaps I didn't calm down much.

The Michigan loss hurt because of how it happened. My biggest pet peeve as a fan is blowing a lead late.
