I liked Pollard episode more than expected. Once again, the recruiting part at the time being fascinating.
Roy’s pitch to Pollard “Scoty, ole Roy is gonna stop eating sweets until you commit to Kansas!”
Could you imagine that move being used today? I still don’t understand how that was supposed to work for the recruit. “You better commit, Roy loves his sweets!”
Also liked hearing that Scot wasn’t afraid of Shaq, because he was the smallest of the Pollard brothers. Said he had to say he was 6’11, because if he rounded up to 7 foot (Theyre all 7+), they would beat he ass.
