On one hand, I'd like to be optimistic. On the other, you could pull these lines/quotes from dozens of stories about a half-dozen eligibility situations over the last decade:
* he expected a ruling from the organization “in the very near future.”
* “These processes are just that — a process,” [_____________] said on [_____________]. “So even though we submitted it [_____________], there were things the NCAA came back with and wanted us to define and further flush out. So we did that. But now everything is in.”
* “So I feel fairly certain we will know something prior to that date, in all fairness to [______________.]”
* [__________] reiterated that he believed a resolution was coming soon.
* “I’ve said that now for several months, but I do think we’ll know here soon because [_________] has to make a decision here by [_____________] about his future,” [________] said. “But why we’re fighting so hard is because [____________] has said he wants to be here — he wants to be here.
* “So we’re doing everything we can to try to make that happen, and I’m hopeful and remain hopeful that a decision will be made and allow him to do that.”

Any precedent in which De Sousa's camp could legally threaten the NCAA to make the decision before he has to declare? It sure would be a shitty thing for the NCAA to wait until after declaration day.

I’m pretty sure from day one. I saw an article a while back about the NCAA investigation into KU as a result of the court drama and she recused herself on that too.
