Don't think the defense is that bad, but the passing is truly atrocious. I wonder how much better Dedric looks with an above-average passing team. An underrated part of Svi's game and obviously Graham is probably Bill's best ever vision passer.

I like our matchup vs Tech. They play 1 big. MG on Culver. Tech too slow for Dotson.

We have a chance to rebound and get on a roll.

Yes, Tech's weakness is their backcourt and Garrett is probably the best guy in the league to guard Culver.

We have to find some sort of offense, though.

Not a shocking take by any means but I’ll take this roster against anyone in the Big 12 at home. On the road no way. Night and day difference.

On the 29th of January last year, Newman went for 13 and 10 boards after games of 15, 20 and 24 in his previous 3 and KU was 7-2 in the Big 12. He had 4 shitty games the first 2 weeks of January (2 on each side of a 27 point explosion against ISU I might add).

This team is very lackluster...Sure Lawson has been getting accolades for player of the week, however, he does NOT j-u-m-p. There is 0 rebounding from this team shot goes and they head back on defense which is sloppy at best. Too many times the other team has an easy chance to throw the ball around the court and AFTER the catch has been made someone is there. No attacking as far as steals. Just very VERY not KU as far as on the defensive end goes. I've read the posts about worst team since the Owens era....The '88 team had it's struggles...which gives me the glimmer of Cinderella hopes as far as getting things right...but the clock is ticking.

When you look at conference only statistics we are in pretty good shape.

Offensively, we lead the league in tempo and 2pt FG%.

Defensively we are 2nd in 2pt% defense.

A couple of areas we need to improve on: Last in FT%, 7th in offensive rebound %, 9th in 3pt% defense, and 8th in turnover %.

A team that struggles to score cannot afford a high percentage of turnovers. A team that struggles to score cannot be a poor offensive rebounding team. We need to maximize possessions (control tempo), limit the turnovers, and crash the offensive glass for more shot opportunities.

To me, that’s not much to ask. Go get ‘em Self.
