Sam and Charlie maybe taught Bill one thing: stay away from Pac 12 transfers. Especially guards. Maybe a post man from there, cause size can always play.

Well if you’re allocating 100 points to a player and Steve Nash gets 100 points because he’s a 2-time MVP and first ballot HOFer, I think that means Charlie Moore gets about 1/100th of 1 point.

No one under Bill Self with Charlie's MPG ( 14 ) has had a Crimscore ( .127 ) as low as he.

Svi in 2015 had 11+ MPG and had a .110.
Christian Moody in 06 had 12+ MPG and had a .193.
Micah Downs in 06 had 11+ MPG and had a .184.
Kaun in 05 had 10+ MPG and had a .144.

I mean, that was after some sort of bizarre mid range pull up jumper that he had no chance of making, but he did hit that three.
that jumper was horrible...fading back and to his side
I honestly think he is so lost on the offensive sets that he doesnt know what else to do but throw up some junk. Hes so used to being the guy that gets by in accumulation of stats by pure volume of shots, hes never had to be just a cog in the wheel. Some of his decisions are mind boggling poor. Perhaps the biggest miss of the self era. Perhaps I'm being overly critical. Im open to commentary to the contrary.
He's not even close to the biggest miss as we really didnt need him to be great for us.

On another note, no one under Bill Self with Quentin Grimes MPG ( 26+ ) has had a Crimscore ( .231 ) as low as he.

Brady Morningstar 2010 had 21+ MPG and a .262.
Conner Teahan 2012 had 21 MPG and had a .203.
Naadir Tharpe 2013 had 19+ MPG and had a .262.
Jamari Traylor 2015 had 20+ MPG and had a .261.

Would be nice if he was capable as a rotation player...which was expected.

Who was a bigger miss? Saying no isnt an argument its just a statement. I said i was open to being convinced otherwise but would need alternate options.

Has there been a player that "we needed to be great" that didn't pan out and can be considered a miss?

Selby? No. He was a cherry on top for that team and was greatly hindered by outside forces. Talented kid, too.

Alexander? Talented kid, how was the staff to know how that one would end the way it did?

Diallo? See Selby, although we probably needed him more than we needed Selby.

Bragg? This is a miss. Really underwhelming development and the obvious other issues.

Bragg was a miss but i think charlie is a bigger miss, he doesnt even belong on the aame court as big xii athletes. Bragg had talent just nothing inside his head. Personal opinion.

I dont consider oubre a miss. He was a starter and solid contributor.

Oubre was maybe a late bloomer, but definitely not a miss, imo

I’d say Oubre still had a really good freshman year, especially for a team that sort of lacked identity overall.

Diallo is one I wish woulda had more of a shot/minutes to develop. His length and athleticism would have been a nice remedy for when Perry needed a diaper change, but good luck convincing Self to play a freshman big over a senior.

Moore may be as big a miss as Bragg.

Both were slated to start and be big rotation players, but ultimately couldn’t be trusted for much more than hold-our-breath-while-someone-else-is-in-foul-trouble minutes.

Bragg was a McDs AA. He's a different type of miss than Moore.

In a sense I guess.

But most of us believed Moore would he starting pg until/unless Dotson got up to speed.

Thank the lord Dotson was further along than any of us expected.

Very different kind of miss...and my account might get shot into outer space for this, but...

...

...

...

...

...

...I think you could say, without being completely ridiculous, that Russell Robinson missed.
