I would imagine that he will be told he is a second rounder this year and a good year could get him into the first.

That would seem like enough for him to stay in the draft.

I think so too.

He is about the most likable guy we've ever had here. I would hate that this crappy season would be his last one. But, it's the NBA.

Seems like there is a knock on guys who stay in college "too long" as well.

And mostly fair. If you're a KU starter and still not drafted after 3 years, why?

Looks like Nick Schwerdt is saying something very similar on Twitter.

Dotson salary, one year guaranteed, $449k.

30th round pick - 1.6 mil year 1, 1.7 mil year 2, 1.8 mil year 3 ( option that is very largely most of the time picked up ), 3.24 mil year 4 ( option ).

That's very likely 5.1 million guaranteed.
Going in the 1st matters.

Och needs to come back and show he can be consistent. He could be a lottery pick if he could have done so earlier. That was KU all year: hit or miss.

I don't see him as a lotto pick.
I do see him improving enough to get at the end of the 1st.

He's my favorite player ( on the team ) - exactly what a Jayhawk should be.
I very much hope he comes back too.

All-likable team??? Why not:

Devonte
Och
Ben
Cole
Sasha

Not sure you're winning many games with that frontcourt, but hey.

You managed to go 4-out and have terrible shooting. You're not winning many games, either.

I almost went Trob or McMack at the 4. I could have had mediocre shooting AND clogged the lane.

Garrett would be 23 if he stayed another year, right?

Anyone think Davion Mitchell or Jared Butler's draft stock is impacted by staying college too long?

If you play like an NBA guy, NBA teams will draft you. Dotson was a very nice college player but he was reluctant to shoot and wasn't a great distributor of the ball so he didn't get drafted. Agbaji seems like he has an NBA game, he just hasn't found that spark to turn it up to a high enough level consistently. I think if he showed up next year with a next level game like everyone seems to believe he is capable of that he would get drafted. I just don't see it yet and don't know why an NBA team would yet, either. Who knows, everyone is in a different position.

Mine just has Djax and Releford swapped. Big Darnell Jackson fan here; he's one of my all time favorites.
