A healthy Joel Embiid is the most valuable player in the NBA.

And his teammates are focused on the special teammate they have in their midst.

As Jimmy Butler left the locker room late Thursday night wearing a pair of cutoff jeans, Air Jordans and a black tank top, Embiid quipped, "Who let you out of the house like that?"

Butler replied without missing a beat.

"When you're rocking with the best team and you got the best player in the world," he said, "you can wear whatever you want."

Russ chases stats. Not unlike Wilt. Although Wilt was better at it.
Wilt won two titles.
Tommy Heinsohn has 8.

Durant goes out limping and the announcers immediately talking torn Achilles

That’s exactly what it seemed like. Turned around like someone stepped on his heel. No bueno

It wasn’t like a nasty looking play or anything. He comes down off a made jumper, takes a couple steps back down court, then awkwardly stops and freaks out.

They just now reported a calf sprain.

I admire him for taking rightful accountability. Is he over rated as a coach?

I think the Celtics let him go and more than half of the NBA franchises would have interest.
You can decide from that if it's because he's overrated.
I'll tell you what though - Budenholzer is underrated -- Brook Lopez AND Giannis sharing the court?

You could be right.
I'm wondering if the Bucks won game 7 last season and after Steven's debacle this season, if the Celtics would have shown him the door.

"Overrated" carries such a negative connotation. But, it does not have to.

I've said for a year or so now that Stevens gets a disproportionate amount of praise.

Doesn't mean he's not good. He just doesn't walk on water like Illy suggests.

Remember when the Celtics were going to dominate the East for a decade?

Couple things:
1. Kyrie shot his way out of the series - he was 25-83 from the field in his last 4 games.
2. Gordon Hayward never recovered from his injury. He isn't a good player anymore.

That fell apart rather quickly. Tough luck with injuries and I'm not sure why Kyrie turned so moody and developed such of a 'me' first attitude.

It's not just injuries, though, right? The hype started before the Hayward signing. And, obviously Kyrie is very hate-able.

I think it kind of comes down to that in the NBA, you can have a horde of lotto picks, a good coach, a savvy GM, but you'd still rather be lucky and get a guy like Giannis, Embiid, or buy a guy like KD, Harden, Kawhi.

They hype was premature. There's no way you can look today and like the C's future more than at least 2 other franchises in just the East.
