Gettem hooked early. Zucks a drug dealer.

How fuckon idiotic. Under 13s should be outside playing and worrying about absolutely anything besides "likes"

And yes, parents need to step up.

As someone who played the role of pseudo parent for a 6, 7, 8 year old for almost 2 years, I can assure you there are plenty of times where a child is unable to be outside playing.
For example, we traveled a lot which involved airplanes and taking many long car rides. While her mother and I would try our best to engage her in conversations and introduce her to various types of music/musicians, she often had her attention focused on her iPad. Which to us, at times, was a Godsend.
Especially when she was doing "educational" activities on it.
Anyways, call me a terrible person (and other derogatory things) but I would probably have little to no problem with her being on Facebook IF (BIG if) it was heavily monitored and "regulated" to be "kid friendly".
I find it hypocritical when people have a problem with what other's kids do and don't do and then I see those people doing what I feel are extremely harmful things to/for their own children.

what’d kids do prior to social media when they couldn’t play outside?

Amazing that most of us here survived without internet.

Also didn't have our parents documenting our lives on social media from day one. Still baffles me that parents have no regard for their children's personal privacy.

Another summer, another attempt to advertise the Trout Unlimited fundraiser on Facebook, another round of error messages and “ad not delivered”s.

5 different times now I’ve tried to promote a post, and 5 different times now it gets nowhere.

Hey Zuck, I’m trying to give you money here!

Like for real how can a bidness even stay in bidness when they can’t even figure out how to sell their product?

And apparently, getting help from Facebook or reporting an issue is even more difficult than trying to get service at a car rental company.

If you go to the help page, it literally just says, “go back to the page you had a problem and shake your phone”

Shake it! That’ll show them!

there’s a reason why I only get on it once a year.

Strangely, Instagram has far fewer issues with promoting, even tho it’s the same parent company

Lol, just got a notification from Facebook.

“Businesses like yours reach more people by boosting posts like your last one. Have you considered boosting your post?”

I click on it, and it says, “you’re currently running an ad for this post.”

I click on that, and get a message “AD NOT DELIVERED - $0.00 spent”

Facebook advertising update!

Still no ad circulating, though I did get a notification asking if I’d like to increase my current ad budget.

I have worked a good deal in both platforms and Facebook's ux for marketers is, as you've explained, a nightmare.
