Probably should put all tennis in here but how bout that Wimbledon final?
Pulling for Federer - man is Joke good though - just has his number.
One point made the difference in multiple sets.

I actually like Joker quite a bit.

Disclaimer is that I don't follow tennis outside of the Grand Slams.

But I like Joker's talent, his swagger, his DGAF attitude at times and he's always been 3rd to Federer and Rafa. But Joker has a better H2H record when going against Rafa and Federer.

I'd take Federer over Joke any time but I ain't got anything against Joke.
Definitely prefer him over whiny Nadal.

An epic final indeed. Had the Wimbledon Final on the telly and the Cricket World Cup Finals on the computer. Two epic events in London on Sunday, happening essentially simultaneously! England beat NZ on a technicality after being tied at the end of the match, and then after the Super Over tiebreaker.

I hope you have direct parents of English descent or are that yourself.
Otherwise, why are you calling a TV a telly and watching cricket?

No direct parents of English descent. The "telly" was an attempt at a joke, which obviously missed its landing :)

As for cricket, I was born and grew up in a country where cricket is very prominent, although I have lived in the US nearly 2/3rds of my life. I used to play cricket until the time I left KU in the late 80's and continue to follow it closely (there was a cricket club at KU at least until mid 90's; don't if it's still functional). Cricket and baseball are very similar in terms of game flow, temperament etc and it irks me to no end when fans of one sport look down their noses at the fans of the other. FTR, I am a fan of both, and appreciate each for what it is.
