Ha, my mind too went to wondering about some correlation between a right wing populist self-proclaimed “world’s coolest dictator” and immigration.
Apparently he’s taken a tough stance against gangs there, jailing tens of thousands of suspected gangsters.
And the U.S.’s relationship with him is hard to read…sometimes chilly, but also just sent White House and State Department officials to attend his inauguration, which wasn’t supposed to happen cuz of term limits but apparently is happening anyway cuz of some recent court ruling down there
