5 days away from first Night game at The Booth!
1-0 KU against 0-1 Coastal Carolina.
Coastal having to move HQ for football to Greenville, SC to avoid hurricane. Not their first time in the last few years so it shouldn’t be a big deal to them.
They lost by 7 at home to Eastern Michigan in a game they were up 10-0 in 1st quarter, then go out scored 30-13 from that point on.
This is their 3rd full season at FBS after being FCS power for many years.
KU opened as a 10 point favorite and has stayed that way.
Coastal seems to run spread and they like to throw it. Should be a good game for experienced secondary to step up and be challenged by them. Their QB threw it 43 times last week. 2 TDS and 4 INTs.
Not sure on defense and hard to gauge performance against EMU.
Kicker seems to be good. Hit 3 FG. Ranging from 35-53.
KU should win. Defense can pounce on errors of their pass-happy attack and offense should love the ball with Pooka leading the way. KU should be able to learn from inconsistencies and be better on offense, especially against the blitz. That’s where Indiana State got back into the game was constant blitzing and getting pressure. KU has to shore that up.
