(Paris is going to hold competitions there; they didn’t the last time the Olympics were there because of pollution)
when you modify definitions, all things are possible
World War I remainders and years of raw sewage. It is definitely much cleaner now

Good, fuck them. Cheating in Russia is built into their Olympic sport model and is not only expected but is state funded and athletes in their system who are not OK with it are tossed out of the system.

I'm guessing Russia will get to participate this Summer in Paris but as whatever neutral party nomenclature has been previously used.

That's a good squad.

Embiid, LeBron, Durant, Curry, Tatum, Booker, AD, Edwards, Kawhi, Haliburton, Bam, Holiday.

I think those first 5 are your starters.

How far Haliburton has come.

Not sure how I feel about Embiid playing. Simply from a physical standpoint.

Well you could say that about AD too.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more of Bam out there then we think.

What's the worst lineup of those 12?
And would those 5 still win the Olympics?

Jrue, Haliburton, Kawhi ( todays Kawhi ), Booker and Bam?

Fine, but I don’t care about Davis or the Lakers. I care a lot about Embiid and, by extension, his NBA team(s). I don’t want him to be this generation’s Malone or Barkley or pick whatever example you want.

Ah, I see.
I'm not as big an Embiid fan as many here are.
If he didn't dabble at KU i'd probably dislike him - kinda obnoxious.

Not my cup of tea, either. But - for better or worse - he’s almost certainly going to be our most prominent guy after Pierce and until whoknows, so I would like for him to rack up as many awards and rings as possible.

Prominence means very little to me -- i'd much rather see a guy like Frank Mason be able to stick on a roster than to have Embiid win a Finals MVP.
We obviously value different things here.

So for me, play Embiid all you need so USA can win Gold.

Same.

I certainly cheer for the 76ers, but there are teams I like more (although, not many now that they've got Oubre too....and I also think Maxey is very likeable.
