This isn't about sacraments, this is about the collection basket. My mom gets these letters from her parish weekly as well.

Bottom line is the hush money account is running low and they are going to have to sell off some gold plated chalices and shit if the parishioners don't start ponying up soon.

Maybe father could get a second job working the night shift at Quiktrip and donate that check to the church.

Better yet, the ground the churches sit on in SF are probably worth a mint. Sell they property and give the money to parishioners to help them pay rent.
