The advantage of eating BAD Mexican food is that you can eat as much as you want and you will probably end up losing weight in the long run.

Good bad Mexican food is the best.

True. Good bad Mexican food is indeed very good - but I find bad good Mexican food to be very bad.

Moving on, I'm anxiously awaiting pdub's next Top 3.

With all the lists you come up, just think of one and start it.

This is an easy one and a tricky one all at once. Almost every restaurant up here has some sort of "southwest flavors" part of the menu, with chips and salsa and Hatch green chili dishes of all sorts.

One and two are pretty much a tie between Casa Mexico and Azteca (locally nicknamed ass-wrecka).

Both have really good mole. Casa Mexico hooks up "the hoof," this tasty tequila served in this goofy jug that used to be a bull hoof. Casa's more expensive and more touristy too though, and fwiw I go to ass wrecka more often.

Number 3 is Pepe Osaka's. It would be number one in the "most innovative restaurants" list. It's an Asian/Mexican fusion joint with sashimi grade fish tacos. Legit margs, too, made with house-infused tequilas. It's actually really good, but expensive, and there's usually a wait and they sell out of the fish a lot of nights, so I've only ever actually eaten it a couple times.

There's a Lime Cantina up at the resort, but that's nothing special, and pretty sure it's a chain, right? It's pretty much the Colorado version of Jose Peppers or sumptin. I'll still give it a shout out though cuz for years the bartender sold shrooms out the back door LOL.

Too 3 places I’d take out of towners within 20 min of house:

1. https://www.cmrm.org/ (it’s really cool)
2. https://poudretrail.org/ (Bc everyone that comes to CO wants to go for a hike, and this is all I’ve got super close)
3.https://www.fiveriverscattle.com/PDF/FiveRiversKUN.pdf (bc it’s a sight to behold, the scale is amazing)

If I still lived in Denver or up in the hills, this would be a much better list haha.

Isn't that because y'all all think you own the place?

I was being facetious.

Besides, we all know we don't own the place.

The Texans do.
