A MUST read on KJ from CJ Moore at The Athletic.

Definitely one of the more unique stories we've had (and we've had a lot of them over the years).

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Open the page again and, before the paywall pops up, just click “reader view” at the top of the browser

Great article.

Also shows how hard of a worker KJ is. The hardest part about going into Self's system as a frosh are the defensive rotations. And he learned those both as a big and a wing and played in the tourney as a frosh. He might be dyslexic, but he has a great feel for the game.

"You at the four?"
"I'm at the five."

Three was not even considered.

For me (iPhone, safari), there’s a little “aA” that displays at the top of the browser up by the site link.

If you click the aA, it prompts a list of options, one of which is “show reader,” and bypasses the paywall.

If you don’t see that, I’d try just clicking stuff on your browser til you might find something about reader view.

Or, if you want, i can ask Beav to pm you his login info

I think KJ just passed DH as my favorite current jayhawk.

I love a good afternoon cry.

I don't know about "best", but definitely one of the most frequent and most powerful.

McLemore and Wiggins were throwing down some serious dunks. Windmills and whatnot.

Kj still has another season and a half worth of dunks to add to his reel.

I think it'll be hard to argue against him being selfs best dunker ever just based off dunk volume. And his combination of explosiveness, power, and seeking contact sure is fun to watch
