There are no specifics, and it feeds right into the QAnon conspiracy, and happens to occur just two months before the election.

That is from a link on a CNN article....has a few more specifics, although I am not sure what more they can really share if the children are minors. There are some photos, etc.

Probably just lies huh?

Are you expecting them to list the names and ages of the kids? Or just skeptical about child/human trafficking being a real problem?

No, not names.

But they don’t even mention it as a human trafficking problem.

Was it? Or a bunch of runaways? A big game of hide and seek? Is it individual cases or a group they found? What’s going on here?

You can't be serious.

How on earth has human/child trafficking become a partisan issue?

I live in a "bumfuck" city of 115k-ish people and we have had at least 3 or 4 abduction attempts in the last year or so that i know of. Thankfully unsuccessful.

As far as the article YOU posted....it sounds like some were indeed just "missing children" since they were located with their legal guardians. Thank goodness. That's a good thing. The other children who were located are no longer in danger, which is good regardless of the circumstances. I don't think CNN is fabricating articles about missing children.

Here are some resources to help alleviate some of your concerns that child trafficking is some sort of conspiracy theory....

https://www.ncjrs.gov/ovc_archives/ncvrw/2005/pg5l.html

"Each year, an estimated 14,500 to 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the United States. The number of U.S. citizens trafficked within the country each year is even higher, with an estimated 200,000 American children at risk for trafficking into the sex industry."

https://www.unicefusa.org/child-traffic ... rafficking.

"National Human Trafficking Hotline statistics show a 25 percent jump in human trafficking cases from 2017 to 2018. This includes sex and labor trafficking. Of the more than 23,500 runaways reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2018, 1 in 7 were likely victims of child sex trafficking."

Seriously, what is the current over/under on the number of Illy posts tomorrow? I'd think 99.5 would be a fun one.

Enjoy your day on the course/links.
Will be interesting to see how long I wait in a voting line tomorrow.
Problem is there is so much SHIT on the ballot it's going to take some people at least 15-20 minutes to fill it out.
I admit there have been times when I have marked YES to retain ALL the judges and NO to retain ALL the judges.
The person I am most looking forward to voting for is a Republican. I'm sure you can guess who it is.

OOPS! I completely forgot this is the human trafficking thread. Sorry folks!
Back to human trafficking........
