I like Minsky’s because it is convenient.

We had Minsky's when we were there for Christmas. Not very good, I'm blaming it on delivery.

Stonewall Inn in Lenexa, if it’s even still around.

Otherwise Johnny’s, who bought the stonewall recipe to serve in their joints

KC:

Best NY style and overall: Johnny Jo's

Best wood-fired: Observation Pizza or Il Lazzarone

Best cracker crust (and sauce): Caddy Shack

Best convenient traditional hand tossed: Minky's

Yes. Haven't been there in awhile but heard it's not as good as it used to be.

The Crown Center one is garbage, but Crown Center turns most food into garbage.

Johnny Jo's and Minsky's are my top 2 favs in the KC area. CnB is right tho, the Minsky's hand tossed is top notch.

I love Waldo Pizza, especially the St. Louis style. Some hate it, some love it.

Is Sbarro's still around? lol.

All I know is, steer clear of “Colorado style” pizza.

The big one is Beau Jos around the state, and a joint called Hernando’s (“The Hern”) in WP.

It’s just bread.

I like Waldo Pizza, their Local Pig pizza is my favorite.

It's too far to drive for pizza, but if there was ever a pizza worth traveling for....Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis. If you ever end up there for business this place is the bomb. I love the Lady Zaza. Kimchi, korean sausage, serrano peppers and a soy/chili glaze! Wash it down with some Surly Furious IPA, you can't go wrong.

If you are in Lakewood/Golden/Denver CO area there is Pizzeria Forte. The Combinata is really good. It is traditional ingredients done very well.

If you are on your way out to the Empire and stop in Colo Spgs for the night, go downtown to Bambino's Urban Pizzeria. A good night's sleep in the Springs will help you acclimate before you head up to the Empire. The Spicy Pig, combination of bacon, sausage and Pueblo chiles is great. As always, have plenty of beer on hand to cool your mouth. I highly recommend the Odd 13 Intergalactic Juice Hunter for this.

Unfortunately once you get to the Empire there is no pizza. We bought Pizza Y Mas in November and it is now, Pizza No Mas. The ovens were gone when we got it and the building inside is covered in pigeon shit so nothing left to revive. Annie Oakley thinks she wants to bring pizza back to town but we will see. She has a lot of irons in the fire and some of the others she is more passionate about. I am trying to convince the folks from Continuum Partners that pizza and beer would be a good addition to their new theater in town. I was sent by God. They would be wise to listen to my prophesies and visions.

Pizza (like burgers any many/most other foods) is highly subjective.
One man's treasure is another man's JUNK! Of course vice/versa.
Sorry for stating what should be obvious - and the hijack.

Also, if I am back in Lawrence, I eventually end up at Minsky's.

Is Gumby’s still opened in Lawrence?

We placed many a late night order for a big ass pepperoni and some pokey sticks, then tipped the delivery guy with bong rips.

Way back when, Minsky's had a store in Lawrence. It was snowing like crazy one night. My buddy and I were stuck at home with no money, as usual. We managed to round up $16 in pennies and called in for a pizza. We had a little cash for a decent tip.

Took over 2 hours to get the pizza. We'd called several times asking and they kept saying it was on the way. It gets there and we ask the guy in. We showed him 16 columns of 10 rows of pennies stacked 10 high.

He started to say he couldn't accept it. When we showed him that all rows/columns were level and that there were 160 stacks. He laughed, scooped it all into a back and said his a-hole boss had to count it.

I was not aware that Minsky's was in Lawrence, left, and is now back there. Thought this version was their first store there.

Anyway, ous, I think Gumby's is long gone.
