But most of the seats are corporate tickets, so it's not really a normal home field advantage. And with the pandemic attendance was a fraction of what it would be normal.
I only came to kick some ass...

Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

I don't buy that it mattered all that much. Not when you got thrashed from the start.

If there was any disadvantage, and not saying there was, it would be that TB didn’t have to travel a few days before the game. That has so much to do with COVID, though.

Playing on your home field, where you are familiar with setup/routine, and not traveling is an advantage.

I'd put that quite a bit lower on the chart than our offensive line woes and referee 'mishaps'.

The field is a patch of grass. Non-issue.

It was a three-hour chartered jet, moving a single timezone East, and a couple nights at a nice hotel. Especially since the Bucs also hoteled up, non-issue.

The Bucs were the visitors, so they didn't have their own locker room. Non-issue.

The routine is entirely fucked up anyway, because it's the Super Bowl. Non-issue.

When the story of this season is told (whether as the abrupt Rodgers-izing of Mahomes' career, or the setback that sparked a run of six rings in ten years to cement Mahomes as the greatest team sports athlete of all time, or something in between), that the Super Bowl was played in Tampa should get no more than a contextualizing mention.

Regardless of any situation, it's always an advantage to play at home.

How much of an advantage is debatable, but it is an advantage.

I would prefer to have that advantage over not. But whining over it is "UCLA in San Jose"-level badfan.

Fwiw, the last 5 regular seasons the Chiefs were 30-10 at Home. 30-10 on the road.

You're getting into busting a different myth altogether there...

This "stat" is irrelevant. Different teams, different schedules. But it makes fanbois feel good, so there is that.

No all home fields are equal. Ask anyone in the Big 12 if Schollmaier Arena is as difficult to play in as Allen Fieldhouse. I'll standby for those results.

Fish and Casca - I prefaced my post with - "Fwiw".

Arrowhead is one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. Yes? No? I say yes.
I'll also say it's definitely an advantage for the Chiefs to play in Arrowhead over playing on the road but.....
FWIW....

Who did the Chiefs beat at home in 2020 that was good a team?

Who other than the Ravens did the Chiefs beat at home that was good in 2019?
Minnesota was 10-6 and a playoff team so I'll say Minnesota. Other than them?

2018?
Ravens were 10-6. Other than them? A bunch of shit?

2017?
The Eagles. Other than them? A bunch of shit?

2016?
The Raiders. Other than them? A bunch of shit?

Granted, you can only beat the teams you play so I in no way fault the Chiefs for their schedule but I'm not going to pretend the Chiefs have played all that much better at home than on the road these past 5 seasons.

Again, FWIW, there are some athletes who feel there are legitimate advantages to playing on the road over playing at home.

Are we really trying to argue whether home field advantage is real?
Jesus.
I guess Vegas has no idea what they are doing then.

Who is arguing if home field advantage is real? Of course it's real.
That being said, I'll happily argue that it's not as "real" as many think it is.

Two serious questions.
1) Do you feel better about yourself when you're an asshole?
2) Would you say the same shit to my face that you post on here?

1. I don't feel better or worse. I just treat people like they treat others. And, you're a fucking asshole.
2. Yes

1) Of course you don't. You often lack a moral compass.
I have never treated you like an asshole unless it was warranted. True or false?

2) Of course you would. You're not too bright.
