Now that 20-21 is over, which Big 12 team wins one next?

Self, Drew or Beard at UT?

Beard will try and move on or fail, so I don’t think he’s the one. I’d go Self or Moser because Drew needs to rebuild.

Should have been 2 in a row for the league.

I think so too, but Self has been known to underperform come tournament time. He’s kind of like the Bobby Cox of the ncaa. Wins a lot of league titles, but fizzles out come tournament time, sad to say.

It's frustrating because I think Self was within 1 bad call of probably having two titles (talking about the 2016 Nova game). But then there was no excuse for what happened in 2011...

I think that is fair, but this Baylor team smashing this Gonzaga team just reinforces how clear our squad was from the rest of the pack in 2020.


Kind of similar to 2008 and 09, if you ever see a question of how good our '08 team is, just look what they did to basically the same UNC team that won the title in 2009.

I’ll actually go with Beard. He had TT in the title game in like his 3rd year and was a rebound away from probably winning it. Now at UT, he’s probably going to have a loaded team year in and year out.

Sad to say, I just don’t see Self winning one for a while.

Lord Moser is Shaka 2.0 is not winning anything not even the B12
Beard was in a better place and now has to deal with Texas politics
And Self should have one last year so the answer is

Yep. We were good in 2018, but not at that level.

It's been a rough go for the Big 12 sucks nationally crowd:

2016: Oklahoma Final Four
2017: KU choke job, but NPOY
2018: KU Final Four
2019: Texas Tech National Runner-Up
2020: KU AP National Champions
2021: Baylor National Champions

Next season has several contenders in Baylor, Kansas, Texas, West Virginia.

We were deemed AP National Champions? Or we just were ranked #1 in the last (meaningless) poll they released?

Well, I was totally wrong! Maybe I should create another thread like this and say Self doesn’t stand a chance next year and he’ll go back-to-back.

I think Dixon stepped up this year too
