So many cries about Israel killing civilians.
Just flood the Hamas tunnels with about three or four feet of Mediterranean Sea water.
Are you 100% sure that there are no hostages in those tunnels?

Why ask?

Heard tonight that Netanyahu is running ads reassuring Israelis that he's the one who can keep the US from forcing a two-state solution down Israels throat.

I wonder if that means House Speaker Mike Johnson will invite Bibi to speak before congress in the next couple of weeks? (I'm only slightly kidding.)

Israel is using an AI system to find targets in Gaza. Experts say it's just the start

https://www.npr.org/2023/12/14/12186432 ... ust-the-st
The pace is astonishing: In the wake of the brutal attacks by Hamas-led militants on October 7, Israeli forces have struck more than 22,000 targets inside Gaza, a small strip of land along the Mediterranean coast. Just since the temporary truce broke down on December 1, Israel's Air Force has hit more than 3,500 sites.

The Israeli military says it's using artificial intelligence to select many of these targets in real-time. The military claims that the AI system, named "the Gospel," has helped it to rapidly identify enemy combatants and equipment, while reducing civilian casualties.

But critics warn the system is unproven at best — and at worst, providing a technological justification for the killing of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

‘A disservice to the American public’: Democrats rip Biden over weapons sale to Israel

The administration announced on Friday that it was bypassing Congress and selling tank shells directly to Israel.

Man, kinda hoped that last post in particular would get more traction.

What else would be fun to see Biden bypass Congress about?

"The Folks" are the people YOU might want to (should?) be worried about in Michigan.
I'd say at the rate this country is going, your town in Michigan might look like northern Gaza in about 10 years if "The Folks" have their way.

For the first time, Mr. Trump leads President Biden among young voters in a Times/Siena national survey, 49 percent to 43 percent. It’s enough to give him a narrow 46-44 lead among registered voters overall.

And there’s a plausible explanation for the shift in recent months: Israel.

As my colleagues Jonathan Weisman, Ruth Igielnik and Alyce McFadden report, young voters in the survey took an extraordinarily negative view of Israel’s recent conduct: They overwhelmingly say Israel isn’t doing enough to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza, believe Israel isn’t interested in peace, and think Israel should stop its military campaign, even if it means Hamas isn’t eliminated.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

oh, and hamas just rejected hostage talks

it’s funny…seems anyone claiming that Israel doesn’t want peace is intentionally forgetting the bit about hamas (and their ilk) declaring out loud that Israel has no right to exist and should be destroyed. it’s quite literally one of their founding principles

Yea, I saw that Economist poll too, but dunno whether it makes mention of this thread.

Dunno where you came up with those hot takes about Israel and peace and Hamas and a right to exist, but feel free to share your source.

Now, if you’re willing to consider the issues of colonial settler ideology in America, may we please consider it in this thread too?

if you don’t know hamas’ founding principles by now, you should really remove your ignorant ass from this and any other such discussions
