That said, I would have to agree that you're not much of a CBB (or NBA) fan if you don't know who James Naismith is. Probably the most prominent inventor of a modern sport. His history, though, is a little more trivial.

Devonte Graham is in Lawrence this week/weekend. Svi probably will make an appearance.
Our NBA guys are coming in when the team is out of town? Not doubting, cool deal if so.

Give him some real estate in the museum, a display case.
He didn't win MVP at Kansas. He actually didn't do that much at Kansas.

Any reason you wouldn't have all current guys' NBA jerseys up perhaps in the players' tunnel out?

Joel and Wiggs will eventually have jerseys in the rafters. Rightfully so

I think I have seen photos of framed current NBA guys' jerseys in the locker room/lounge area. There for recruiting visits. Maybe that was football, or both.

I think if KUBB wants Joel to pimp KU and/or even donate a little money, then some sort of gesture/invitation seems obvious in those kind of situations.

I have too.
That's great.
Just not in the rafters please.

i like the idea of “pimping” all of our nba guys

don’t think they’re rafter-worthy, but a “hall of honor” or something seems like an easy a cool way to have them represented

i get having something like that in the locker room for recruiting, but it’d also be cool for general public and media to be able to take it in as well

i also think it’d be great to get both Jo and Wiggs back in the building, regardless of any accolades they did (or didn’t) achieve while at KU

Somewhere outside of the court is great.
In the players tunnel sounds fantastic.
All for it.

Wiggins and Embiid have had fantastic NBA careers.
They didn't make much of an impact while in college at Kansas.

This makes me think of when Trae Young asked "Who is Sherron Collins?"

There are a few different audiences you have to send a message to in this CBB environment.

You just opened the door for you know who to say Sherron is one of the best Jayhawks of all time.

He's in the top 15 Jayhawks of all time.
Also, why do I care what Trae Young thinks?

I believe it is one of the best KANSAS JAYHAWKS of all time.

On that note, a guy on my dorm floor at KU asked me who Danny Manning was. That would certainly automatically disqualify you as a KUBB fan.

For sure.
But he ( patchy ) chose poorly.
Did they miss the tournament? I forget. I know they were bubble.

My BUD's 1st game at AFH was the 2018 rematch v OU and Trae.
We shut him down and blew bush league Kruger out of the building.

Trae. Vonte. Newman. Svi. Dok.
Vick woulda been 6th man.
Trae woulda been on the ball more often, i'm guessing, as Vonte played off for much of it with Frank.

Might have cost Vonte his B12 POY - but also would have had a better chance v Nova.
