KU lost a good one friday

Post by KUTradition »

Bill Duellman, aged 91

came to KU in the 1950s and mentored countless graduate and undergraduate students. he was a friend and mentor of mine, and i’m grateful for the time we shared

he had his issues, for sure, but there likely isn’t anyone who has done more for the knowledge of neotropical frog diversity in history, both through his own research and by extension, that of his students

a veritable giant in his field
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Sorry for the loss of your friend/mentor!

I did a quick search of him.

I'm sorry, traddy. I gather he was a great man, and a fine teacher.

Tip o' the cap to him.
Please, I implore you to be reasonable...
