you wear socks with sandals?
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

You can't prove that!

I need to go try on a pair of that model to get a feel for whether they would work for me so I would be ready to buy those sometime. I love the look of them but I am not dropping $200 on a pair of shoes only to find out they fit like shit.
Coincidently......
Today, I am wearing a pair of Adidas Yeezy QNTM BSKTBL for the first time. Not bad but I would have never bought them if I tried them on first. Just don't fit right for me - like many/most Adidas shoes.
My nephew is a sneakerhead and I really like the look of those shoes too Gutter, so I sent him the link with this note:

Me: These are likely nothing to a sneakerhead like you, but they’re purty to me.

Him: I LOVE THOSE!! The adidas ultra boost is actually one of my top 3 favorite sneakers of all time, they are SO COMFY. I vote you treat yourself to a pair of those if you like them!!

So, even tho I wear sandals ~ 98% of the time, I might have to get a pair.

Thanks, Gutter!

More proof Gonzaga doesn't play many "good" teams?

5 Big XII teams?

Couldn't find a picture of it but it reminds me of a 1988 final 4 t-shirt that said "there's bound to be some roadkill along the way" showing smashed wildcat.

If it was "ranked non-con" teams then Gonzaga would be on there as they usually play a really challenging non-con schedule. KU gets a ton of shots at ranked teams in conference every year and cashes in wins at a ridiculous rate. Bill Self rules.

Gutter meter is too low on that one.

It's certainly no higher than a 5.
Gonzaga was brought up, negatively, in a graphic about the last 10 years of basketball.
Pertinent to point out another fact of the last 10 years.

I just looked. The CATS won but struggled against garbage. Although, Turell was a baller in college.

Kansas

The only proper way to start this list is with Allen Fieldhouse, the historic home of the Kansas Jayhawks. There's no more special place in college basketball, and it's my personal favorite.

Have you been there? If not -- and if you can -- you should try to get there someday because it truly should be a bucket-list type place for all hoop heads. The building is named after Phog Allen, otherwise known as the "Father of Basketball Coaching." The court is named after Dr. James Naismith, the inventor of the game.

Hard to beat that combo.

Allen Fieldhouse has been the home of the Jayhawks since 1955. It looks cool. It sounds amazing. And it's undeniably one of the best, if not the best, home-court advantages in the sport -- especially since Bill Self replaced Roy Williams 20 seasons ago. Since then, the Jayhawks are 307-17 inside Allen Fieldhouse. In other words, Self has averaged fewer than one loss at home per season. And he'll enter Year 21 at KU with the same number of Big 12 regular-season titles (17) as losses inside Allen Fieldhouse (17).

It's been consistent excellence for two decades. Self is the biggest reason for the success. But the magic in the building matters. -- Gary Parrish
