Radio Broadcast Audio
Radio Broadcast Audio
Consider me Mushawk.
It’s not Bob and Max but I want to hear how our boys broadcast it.
I did a quick search and will try again on my laptop later but anyone got this/know where it’s at?

Trying to find this really cool video clip of Brian Hanni calling the last few seconds of the game and then Och running over to hug him and high-five Greg Gurley. If I find it I will share it. It's really cool!

Not the exact clip I was looking for, but still cool.

Och came to find Gurley and Hanni to give them a five. Hanni opens his arms for a hug and says "Ochai gives us a hug!" as if Ochai initiated the hug.
That's cute. I bet that made Hanni's year, or more. Great moment.

Re: Radio Broadcast Audio
pretty fuckin cool
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Radio Broadcast Audio
Not Jerry Bailey cool, but awfully damned cool.
Re: Radio Broadcast Audio
I shoulda been on this before and just recorded myself.
Re: Radio Broadcast Audio
But like, there's gonna be a Blu Ray that we can buy eventually, right?
Re: Radio Broadcast Audio

1 time rental, prices vary per seat picked.
God I already hate the future

Re: Radio Broadcast Audio
This is from the banquet last night. A poem by Brian Hanni. Pretty fun stuff.
"A Banner Year for Kansas Basketball"
As delivered tonite at the Kansas Men's Basketball banquet:
Gather ‘round and hear the tale,
Of a Jayhawk team beloved by all,
And their amazing run to a title:
“A Banner Year for Kansas Basketball.”
So much this group accomplished,
So many highlights throughout.
Let’s quickly reflect on all the moments,
We got to cheer and shout about.
First there was a win in the Garden.
That was the night Ochai made it clear:
His 29 points put the world on notice,
That THIS would be HIS year.
Fast forward to December,
A Border rivalry restored.
And so too was our dominance,
102 points our Jayhawks scored!
Then came conference action,
And a nailbiter early on…
We beat the Cyclones at the buzzer,
Thanks to driving flip by Juan.
And who could forget that game in Norman,
When Christian Braun saved the day?
A 3 point dagger & a whole lotta swagger,
With just 11 seconds left to play.
Then with heavy hearts,
Our ‘Hawks traveled to play K-State.
Driven to win this one for their Coach,
The Jayhawks came back late.
Rallying from sixteen down at the half,
A comeback that left the Wildcats haunted.
Heart, toughness and grit all on display,
Just like Bill Self Sr. would have wanted.
Next came the thriller with Texas Tech,
A game that needed 2 overtimes to decide.
37 more points from Agbaji…
Whose clutch OT 3 helped turn the tide.
The league race came down to the Texas game…
Could KU win the Big 12 yet again?
To clinch a 39th straight Senior Day,
D-Mac, J-Wil and CB all chipped in.
All 3 notched double-doubles,
And Kansas kept up its conference winning.
A 16th league title in 19 years!
But the trophy hunt was just beginning.
Next it was on to Kansas City,
The Big 12 tourney in Ochai’s town,
Lightfoot stood out early,
But Och’s slam brought the whole house down.
Big Dave came up huge in the title game,
Something quickly becoming a theme.
And now armed with yet another 1 seed,
It was time to dare to dream.
Off to Fort Worth, Texas,
The Madness had begun.
The Jayhawks started Remy Marchin’,
And man, was Martin fun?!
Instant “Remergy” off the bench,
While scoring points in bunches.
And as other top seeds started to fall,
Kansas kept dodging punches.
A bit of a scare from Creighton,
But our Jayhawks prevailed.
We were told Providence doesn’t lose close games,
But in Chicago, that logic failed.
That Sweet 16 win over the Friars,
Not only continued KU’s climb…
But with that win Kansas became,
The winningest program of ALL-TIME!
Then came a date with the Hurricanes,
The Elite 8 in the Windy City.
A slow start for our Jayhawks,
But the second half was oh so pretty!
Twenty minutes of dominance,
A 47-15 statement made.
The most convincing half of basketball,
Any tourney team had played.
Next up a date with Nova,
A score to settle with Jay Wright.
Unlike 2018 in San Antone’,
THIS was KU’s Night.
Ochai came out scorching hot…
6 straight threes, hotter than the sun!
And David McCormack was oh so clutch,
25 and 9, before the night was done.
The Jayhawks moved on yet again,
Thanks to those same Bill Self staples…
With toughness, team work and togetherness,
It was on to a Monday Night in April.
Only one opponent left to go,
The dream so close to being real.
But to hang that elusive 6th banner,
We had to go through those Tarheels.
It was another fast Jayhawk start,
But then a Carolina run was fueled.
Our Hawks were down big at the half,
but Coach Self, he kept his cool.
For this team had rallied big once before,
And Coach Self had faced longer odds.
He said, “Would you rather be down 9 with 2 to go,
Or 15 with 20 left and this squad?”
That sparked a Kansas comeback,
Unlike college hoops had ever seen.
The largest one in title game history,
They rallied back from down FIFTEEN!
Another total team effort,
CB racked up a quick ten.
Jalen’s shots were hitting too,
The Hawks were cookin’ again!
Then another classic Remy run,
Corner pocket three balls were fallin’.
Then a crossover, step back three.
That was Martin kid was ballin’.
Och was huge and so was Juan,
But when KU needed this game saved,
They fed it to McCormack,
And Most Outstanding, was Big Dave.
Together this special Jayhawk group,
Made KU Hoops history,
Delivering another Banner Year,
Thanks to elite team chemistry.
Memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime,
Achievements that have us all braggin’.
And all because, they didn’t worry about the Mules,
These Jayhawks, Just Loaded the Wagon.
