Thanks to DMac
Re: Thanks to DMac
Hats off to McCormack for his efforts in this season's biggest games. He was a major contributor to a national title at the University of Kansas and will be remembered for that forever. He drove us all crazy but in the end, he came up big when it mattered the most. I wish him well on his professional journey and hope he achieves all of his goals.
Hoping we hear on Braun and Wilson very soon as well so transfers will know the state of the roster.

Any word on hiring an agent? Or however that works now.
And go figure Dave’s announcement is first. Bet we know a lot more by the end of the week.

That is a goodbye letter. And Jesse sums it up nicely.

It's an absolute goodbye letter. Go strike while iron is hot, because it won't get hotter than it is right now.

He finished at a level I never saw coming. Incredible end to his college career.

On this, Bill essentially declared for Ochai at the banquet:
“I will make the announcement for him,” Self said, smiling, referring to first-team All-American Agbaji entering the 2022 NBA Draft. “Don’t hold your breath on him coming back another year. It’s time for him to go.”

congrats big fella. wish dmac nothing but health and success on his journey
I made numerous posts this season about how much mccormack will be missed next year when we've got a bunch of young bigs out there. man did he prove me right. just another example of a time randy was right

There weren’t many on team Dave.

Re: Thanks to DMac
he frustrated us all at times. I think he was severely underappreciated all season, especially him battling through injury for the entire year. but with him leading us through the final 4, respect is on his name, and he will never be underappreciated by kansas fans again
itll be interesting next season when we have some combination of kj, clemence, and the freshman udeh/ejiofor playing daves minutes. young green talent that will be frustrating at times too. sometimes you dont know what you got til its gone dmac
(and cam martin - who the hell knows - I could see him being anything between a nonfactor and a productive big whos gotta get minutes)
Re: Thanks to DMac
The biggest culprit took his keybored and went home. You know, after he finished up GTS.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: Thanks to DMac
I only blocked the guy for an hour for one game.
Maybe he's still at Golden Crowal.

I know you have an interest in playing games around this, but it actually does Dave's work a disservice.
He absolutely was as bad/inconsistent/frustrating/unreliable as his critics said...until he wasn't. That's an enormous credit to him.
Re: Thanks to DMac
Every single player on the team was inconsistent at times. Even Och.
Only certain players got singled out and bashed for it (often to exteme levels), as if they should be held to LeBron like standards.

Re: Thanks to DMac
DMac was consistent. Losing the ball on the dribble. Mishandling passes. Forcing shots. But he pulled it all together late. That assist from Remy in the Texas Southern game was a brilliant catch. I think Remy caused him to concentrate all the time because the ball would whistle through traffic. He was a monster with Remy late in the season.
