Arthur over T-Rob and that's not close.
I've said for years the darrell arthur is the most underrated player of the self era. he was a lot more skilled than t rob. he was a lot more explosive than simien. I agree arthur and its not that close.

(but the original posters line up seems based on accolades, in which case you go trob)

here something for you guys to suck on for awhile. I think ous gave us the perfect "all accolade team" he absolutely nailed it for the guys that had the most productive seasons to cap off their careers.

how about an "All talented team"

Devon Dotson
Ben Mclemore (almost went xavier henry)
Andrew Wiggins
Darrell Arthur (Julian wright says hello)
Joel Embiid

I think both Chalmers and Devonte were more "talented" than Dotson, even though they stayed in school longer. But splitting hairs there, and what qualifies as "talent" is so subjective.

And I'd also consider Julian Wright and Josh Jackson over Arthur.

Talented?
Meaning?
Athletically?

If so, Wiggs and Embiid make sense for sure.

But just talented?
That would be pretty similar to that first team AA group ous listed.

Josh Jackson doesn't get enough love in these types of threads, especially as a new era-small ball 4.

I think he was better in college than Wiggins.

I don't think we have had many guys better than Wiggins in college. He was just on a crappy team by KU standards because of their youth.

One of them was Josh Jackson.

Has anyone during the Self era scored more than 41pts in a game? Wiggins had 11 20pt+ games. A 30pt game. And a 41pt game.

He also had a 19reb game, a 4blk game, and a 5stl game.

We can agree to disagree about Josh Jackson being better than Wiggins. He may have been more likeable and his tenacity was so fun to watch...but better? Not imo. Josh wasn't even 1st team AA. He was probably the 3rd best player on the team that year.

Give me 16.3, 7.4, 3, 1.7 and 1.1 on 51.3 over
17.1, 5.9, 1.5, 1.1 and 1 on 44.8.

And a better defender.

Also Rush was a better defender than Wiggins.
Come on bruh.

In a vacuum sure, I would take the top numbers....but if you swapped their teammates out, I think Wiggins would have benefitted similarly. Josh had Frank Devonte and Svi on his team. That absolutely helps productivity. Primarily having the 2 elite point guards.

But Josh was awesome. So I think your stance is reasonable since it is totally subjective. Josh is one of my favorite players KU has had recently. I "liked" him more than Wiggins too.

Josh Jackson was 1st team All-Big XII and depending on the media outlet, either a 2nd or 3rd team All-American...all while playing with the National Player Of The Year.

I'm taking Josh Jackson over Andrew Wiggins, but you really can't go wrong with either.

Does "style" play a major role in that choice for you guys?

Because judging by their pro careers from Day 1 it is pretty clear cut who is better at basketball individually.
