Hardly. I changed shirts. Changed my attitude. And hoped for a historic comeback.

After the KState game I knew this team can never be counted out. You fight until the clock reads double zeros.

This idea nobody was giving up in the gamethread is revisionist history. Maybe you didn't, but most did.

"Don't care how this game turns out. This was a great season. Unbelievable postseason run by this team of overachievers. Some frustrating moments, but such a fun year cheering for a bunch of guys who are extremely likeable."

That's the halftime speech i'm giving to my players if I think they are going to come back in a game.
If I'm Bruce Weber.

But that's not something you post at halftime, down by 15, of the national title game.
We tried to explain that to him, he either doesn't get it or loves to argue.

As far as I know none of our players were reading kansascrimson.com at halftime of the game.

I wasn't talking to our players. I was talking to the 14 fans on this website.

it's interesting that "i love this team no matter what" is more offensive than 14 pages of "this team sucks"
"hey don't blame me, i am going to vote for some random dude"

Nothing but positive comments in that halftime post.

I would have been much better off shitting on our players and coaches and crying because a basketball game was going badly.

not that sane people needed another reason, but this is another reason to stay far away from a gameday thread. gameday threads are where the deviants and malcontents roam.

A few of us try to be positive the vast majority of the time...but apparently that is convenient to overlook.

OH give me a home, where the deviants and malcontents roam.

Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Gameday threads are fine. Emotions run high during games and sometimes people post stuff without taking a minute to calm down. I'm glad I didn't post anything when Harris stepped out of bounds on that last possession!

I was a little nervous late in the 1st when we weren't hitting shots, not running the offense and couldn't buy a rebound. At halftime, I thought, 15 points? We can do this. Then Dave hit that dunk, very much like Arthur hit that dunk against Memphis to start OT, and I knew we were going to win. Never had another worry.

It was the biggest comeback in national championship game history. If you weren't nervous then you are never nervous.
