FWIW Gutter, I'm not very tolerant of people who can't maintain and end up diminishing everyone else's experience, either.

99 & Feral - I need to chill and realize shit happens.
The drug thing.... I am a compassionate person - to a point. I was at the Fare The Well shows at Soldier Field in 2015. Some yuppie guy who is/was probably an investment banker or attorney took out a sack full of different drugs. Weed, cocaine (I think it was cocaine - maybe it was heroine? - he sorted it) ,"blotter/tabs", pills, all sorts of goodies. I figured he would pick and choose a few but he proceeded to "ingest" everything in about a 15 minute period of time. Before the end of the first set - the paramedics were treating him. Gee, what did he think would happen and why did he think he would enjoy the show under the influence of ALL those drugs?
I'm not against people taking drugs but as someone who was an addict, I know first hand "moderation" is better than abuse. In EVERY regard.
I realize LSD is a different animal but when I see people having a bad trip, it really bothers me to see people suffer - and then maybe this is a selfish way of thinking but I'm not happy for both them and I that their actions also become my business. Yes, I feel the same way in regards to people who get drunk and then become extremely obnoxious.

Anyways, of course I have a new dilemma in regards to this up coming weekend. My "ticket" for Saturday is all set. My ticket for Friday, Ticketmaster is having difficulty issuing it to me and of course their customer service is terrible. Latest is - They say worst case scenario is I have to go to the ticket area at Wrigley an hour before the show. Well, being that I have GA in the PIT, I wanted to be in the venue when the gates open so I can post up and get a good spot. Looks like it's not gonna happen.
That, and I expect it to rain. ;)

If Don was alive today he would give me a...

Lotsa people rightfully bitching about issues on the D&C front. Such as traffic, crowd control, etc.
Seems some venues (and cities) weren't properly prepared. Don't understand why. Not like it's the first time they have ever had concerts there.
Nice thing is Wrigley actually handles things pretty well. Lots of different ways to get there too - including but not limited to public transportation.

My issue is that Ticketmaster fucking sucks - and I am 100% convinced the powers that run Ticketmaster don't really give a damn.
Not just about me - about the majority of their customers.

Wrigley is always bittersweet for me. I know if my buddy was alive he would love going to the shows.
The same guy who would always say, "Every day is a great day" and mean it - even if HE was going through shit in his life.
I have mentioned this before and I am going to mention it again now.
One of my favorite non show Grateful Dead moments was when we were together in Miami sitting at the pool and I was listening to Jerry Garcia jamming a solo. I handed my buddy my Discman (yep Discman - was many years ago and I had burned a CD) and I told him to listen.
He got up from his lounge chair and started playing air guitar rocking back and forth with his eyes closed. Putting his foot down on an imaginary guitar pedal.
People at the pool were smiling and laughing at him. He opened his eyes, looked around, and said to everyone - "JERRY'S ALIVE" while pointing to the Discman. Yeah, I guess you had to be there.

Funny you should post that.
Some dude named Steve Dubinsky made (or at least is selling) the shirt on the left.

Ticketmaster sent me an email, text message, and voice message, last night. Gee, thanks.
I suppose I have to give them credit for being better late than never.
On a semi strange note....
I can see the Wrigley Field lights from my apartment. Typically when they set up for a concert at Wrigley they work through the night/s. The last two nights the lights were NOT on at Wrigley.
Almost made/makes we worry that for some crazy unknown reason/s the shows were/are cancelled.
I'm going to go ahead and assume no news is good news.

I'm anxious to go hang out with the Yuppies (not hippies). Eye roll.
As nice as it is that I could walk to Wrigley if I wanted to, I used to LOVE going to Alpine Valley.

This is NOT today's scene/s. The good old days.....

My buddies play outside Wrigley pre-show. Bill Walton "sitting in" with them.

That's a real decision? I hope that expresses my sentiment on what I feel you should do but I respect whatever you choose.

Thought this is/was great.

Strong rumors Dave Matthews and Jon Popper will be guests this evening.
Possibly Kyle Hollingsworth (String Cheese Incident) too.
