New Adam Sandler movie on Netflix. Lots of NBA guys in it. Pretty good.

Forgot about that one. Although I guess I didn't immediately think of that as a basketball movie.

If you don't count Uncut Gems, the last good, and one of the few, good movies centered around basketball is Finding Forrester.
Sports movies are generally terrible (from a movie standpoint) given the obsession with turning them hallmark-y. If you just want to sit down on a holiday afternoon, then yeah, great for that.

Also a soft spot for Celtic Pride, as I watched that more than a few times growing up. Been a few years now, so I wonder how cringy it would be to watch a basketball movie based around Damon Waynes and Dan Akroyd.

I couldn’t tell you the last time I watched a basketball movie that didn’t cast a golden retriever as the star character.
