2011 literally gave big starter minutes to Face Ass, even after other teams increasingly realized they could exploit him

2017 had BIFM but was otherwise so shallow, and reliant on a stud freshman who was kind of mercurial

2020 really did feel like maybe the best prepped for a run…we had the strongest and most automatic big in the country, maybe the quickest guard in the country, and a defensive beast as an X factor. We weren’t scoring huge numbers, but we were defensively locking down, and could count on Dok and Dot to get theirs when needed.

Of course, hindsight is 2020, no pun intended.
That last line is gold, Ous.
But I'll count 2020 forever because the final poll was the final measure.
Not my original idea, but what I'd do is have the four NCAA championship banners in their own row on the north end, and then have three banners (two Helms, one 2020) below them. And not identify that lower row as national championships. You don't need to call them anything. They can just be banners with years on them...people will know, or learn.
I like.
But differentiate the banners ( Helms and 2020 ) more than being placed below - either a bit smaller or in a different color.

different piping/trim
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

That 2010 just didn’t seem to gel quite right. X seemed on cruise control. Cole was a beast but kind of ended up a role player. The best player by the end of the year might have been Marcus.

And yea Sherron was first team AA, but still, his hero ball seemed to cut into a more cohesive team attack or something.

Or maybe I’m just bitter cuz the narrative really should have been “Sherron primed for senior year to be the best yet,” but instead it was “Sherron shows back up to campus 40 pounds overweight”

That time also kind of got tainted once I read some article about that team after the fact that described them as, “a bunch of pretty leaves trying to be a tree”

Prob Self’s best team on paper, yet we still couldn’t get past directional Iowa in the first weekend

The 'yet we couldn't get past Iowa' is part of the bad luck that i'm talking about.

"That 2010 just didn’t seem to gel quite right. X seemed on cruise control. Cole was a beast but kind of ended up a role player."

None of this really makes sense to me.
We were just dominating teams.
We were 32-2 - with a loss early at no. 16 Tennessee and at OSU where Self has struggled ( and where Keiton Page just decided to not miss ).

Not sure how you aren't gelling if you're 32-2.

Aldrich the 'role player' was B12 DPOY and 1st team All B12.
Cruise control X averaged 13.4 PPG on 41.8% from 3.

We just picked an awful day for Collins and Ty Ty to combine 0-11 from 3.

"Hero ball" is so subjective. Mostly revisionist history.

Sherron shot 12 times a game. That's not very much hero ball.

It's not NOT a lot of shots.
It's 12th all time under Bill Self.
( 1st is on this team )

If you want to argue Sherron 09 was playing hero ball, I wouldn't disagree, but that team was even more offensively deficient than this seasons.

2010 was a great team.

But, 2020 was built to win in March. I just don't see that team loosing without some really really bad luck.

I think the 2016 was maybe the best team to not win a title among the teams who didn't have the tourney canceled.

Also, now that Mich has been outed as a sock, it just makes him even more difficult to take seriously.
I mustve missed that
DC outed him.

Then he started becoming an even more Mich-y version of Mich.

DC also claims Ousdahl and zsn are socks.

So there's that.

I assume when DC says these are all Park socks he means Parkview from back in the day.

I've always thought that a VERY entertaining sock would be one where multiple and very different users have the login credentials. So, a sock that (at any given point) might actually be me OR ous OR gutter.

Keep 'em on their toes!

I tried that once!

The sock’s password was right there in the sig!

But unfortunately, before anyone realized it, the sock got banned.

Of Bill's teams? Because '97 is the answer here. Or Wilt's non-winning year, but that was mostly Wilt.
