365 days, 4 seasons, 12 months. 2 solstices, 2 equinoxes.

I expect it to meet those basic requirements of a year.

Though....I dont know that going to 13, 28 day months wouldn't have made more sense......Would be a tremendously challenging switch to make now, logistically.

Maybe once this civilization collapses and the new one arises it will give thay a go.

I am hoping, personally and professionally, for more RESPONDING and less REACTING. Fell into a bad pattern during Covid of sort of managing from one crisis (or, just one item on a list) to the next. Really hoping to be more intentional, more deliberate in the new year.

I really think AI's progression will be the biggest thing in 2023. ChatGPT is absolutely remarkable and will change how things are done. I'm never an early adopter - but this will be a game changer, whether people realize it's happening or not.

don't mind me. I'm stuck in years long gone. I greatly dislike the thought of AI and advancing technologies and find the amount of information gathering (i know.....its already happening anyway) required to make AI feasible incredibly alarming.

If...big if.....they can focus this technology on medical advancements and actually useful things I can try to accept it. However, I am increasingly convinced it will be driven more by greed, control and other nefariousness

I was born a century or so too late.

On the plus-side....im still alive. If I was born back then, there is a fairly decent likelihood I wouldn't have made it to my 40s.

What do I expect in 2023?
For this country and the world - I'll keep my expectations low and hope for the best instead of keeping my expectations high and being disappointed.
For me - Good things, bad things, indifferent things.

Happy new year to all! I hope/expect the first part of 2023 to be my entry into retirement. Everything else will just have to work itself out without me paying too much attention to it.

I will drink to that, and right behind you.

Should I meet you at the Oread again for a drink? Or just head straight to the Valley?

2003 was 20 years ago.

Bill Self was announced the HC at Kansas.

2003 (Loss to Syracuse and Bill Self named head coach) - 2023 (Today)

is the same amount of time as:

1988 (Danny and the Miracles) - 2008 (Mario's Miracle)
